Do you look after your hair when exercising?

Working out is a great way to feel healthier, stronger and more energised. However, we can be causing some damage to our hair and scalp if were not looking after it right. Just by throwing your hair up is the same place and not using the right hair tie can weaken, break and damage your hair.

There are a few key tips to remember when you next work out:

Secondly, start switching it up - every workout try a different style. Some different ways you can put it up include a high ponytail, low pony tail, braids and buns - see below for some inspiration.

After your sweaty workout sessions, let your hair down. Leaving your hair up can eventually cause dandruff as your not letting your scalp breathe. Your hair is sweaty and all you want to do is wash your hair. Rethink washing your hair. Washing your hair to often and everyday can dry your hair and natural oils from your scalp. Some alternatives for you. If you have a fringe and its got into a sweaty mess instead of washing your whole hair just wash your fringe over your bathroom basin. Your hair is its most weak when wet so never tie your hair up wet. After your workout let your hair down, give it a good brush and then dry your hair a little with your blowdryer. Some styles you can do spray beach wave spray and let your hair dry natural for some waves, loose curl with the GHD stylers, pinned up loose bun, slick ponytail or bun.

If your washing your hair a little to often. Make sure you are using the right home hair care to suite your hair and lifestyle.
